A Flying Saucer, or flying disc, is an ostensibly disc-shaped Unidentified Flying Object (UFO). Described over the ages by

numerous stories, stories and wall arts, UFOs or flying saucers always created a stark image of a disc shaped object piercing through the horizon with unbelievable speed and maneuverability. The well-conceived flying machine was thought to carry extra-terrestrial beings. However, despite many encounters and even claimed apprehension stories by many persons in the hands of such ETs, there are possibly no such ET/ UFO/ Flying Saucer captured by mankind for in depth inspection and analysis.

Flying Saucer

Possibly, it is time that mankind now sees its own UFO, aka, Flying Saucer. Invented by Wayne Avellanet from Plano, Texas, USA, the Magnecopter will be the UFO/ Flying Saucer of today, which will possibly going to be true revolution in affordable aviation domain.

Magnecopter

The name, Magnecopter, is derived from the term ‘magnetically driven helicopter’. This original invention is named the “Magnecopter”. The Magnecopter  combines the concepts of; 1. Magnetically driven stepper motors, 2. Helicopters and, 3. Gyroscopes. The Magnecopter’s propulsion is produced by moving short wing sections magnetically along a circular path around a cockpit. The magnetically driven wing runs on electricity produced by a standard jet auxiliary power unit.

Aviation Problems Solved! Why the Magnecopter Design is Superior to Conventional Helicopters, Tiltrotors and Airplanes:

·

Blade efficiency provided by the Magnecopter is the key! Traditional helicopter blades are relatively inefficient. By driving variable pitch, magnetically driven, wing sections with magnets and controlling the directional airflow by enclosing the magnetically driven wing assembly with directional vents, the Magnecopter, or Magnetically driven helicopter, can achieve higher altitude, greater velocity and increased lift using the SAME AMOUNT OF WING AREA.

·         The Magnecopter overcomes helicopter’s problems of asymmetric lift by enclosing the circular wing assembly with directional vents and blocking forward airflow to the retreating area of the rotating arc! This means that the Magnecopter will exceed the helicopter’s top speed design limitation of ~200 knots! The Magnecopter is theoretically much faster!

·

·         All helicopters are dynamically unstable in all three axes in hover which means that they are prone to crash. One genius component of the Magnecopter invention is its gyroscopic design. The gyroscopic force of Angular Momentum inherent in the Magnecopter promises to deliver the positive dynamic flight stability characteristics which are missing from helicopters.

·

·         The cockpit assembly pivots within the wing assembly somewhat which allows the occupants to remain in a level attitude during most maneuvers.  This is how the invention deals with gyroscopic precession.  Alternatively, the pilot and occupants can be omitted and the aircraft can be configured as a remote-controlled drone.

·

·         Extended range and speed is possible due to the increased efficiency of the wing. The range of the Magnecopter promises to be greater than that of conventional helicopters and tiltrotors. Rotational speeds of the wing assembly can be precisely controlled.  Each wing section has variable pitch. Magnecopter brings the 'A Game' to improving Aviation! The Magnecopter solves intractable aviation engineering problems:

·

Vertical takeoff and landing capabilities mean you can go, literally, ANYWHERE. Access to places otherwise inaccessible due to vertol capability -  WITHOUT dangerous blades spinning or any need for an airport.

·         The phenomenon of regression in helicopters, which necessitates the tail rotor, is not, or is much less of, an issue because there is no central (drive) shaft. Traditional helicopters tend to rotate opposite the direction of the main rotor (regression).  Directional control of the cockpit is achieved via the directional thrust vectoring vents surrounding the propulsive assembly.

·         The Magnecopter should be much easier to fly than a traditional helicopter, tiltrotor or airplane because the gyroscopic design will provide dynamic stability. The invention uses directional vents, which surround the wing assembly, to vector thrust and provide directional control and stability. These vents will be controlled by pilot input.  It is anticipated that the flight controls will incorporate an AI-powered fly-by-wire capability that is capable of making hundreds of individual control surface adjustments per second to provide stability and directional control.

·         The vertical takeoff and landing capabilities of the Magnecopter negate the need for airports and runways. The initial Magnecopter design is only 17 feet in diameter! This is less than half the size of any existing helicopter plus the moving parts of the Magnecopter are perfectly safe because they are ENCLOSED.  Magnecopter models will be both larger and smaller for different applications.

·         The selection of standard, existing engines and electricity generating motors will help reduce the cost of the Magnecopter. While it is anticipated that the Magnecopter will initially use commercial aircraft APU units to generate electricity to drive the wing section, it could also operate using any gasoline, diesel, electric or jet engine/fuel combination that meets the weight requirements. Hybrid drives are anticipated.

Wing Section

This is a side view of an individual wing section.  The Magnecopter will have some dozens of these.  The dot on the side represents the longitudinal roller control shaft.  The shaft can be rotated which will allow us to control the pitch - the same way the pitch is varied on a conventional helicopter or variable pitch airplane propeller. The individual wing section is pulled along a track by electromagnets spaced inside and outside the track (final design will vary).

Magnetically Driven Concentric Wing Assembly with Thrust Vectoring Control Surfaces on the top and bottom

Here we show an example of a view of the full Magnetically Driven Concentric Wing Assembly which shows one possible configuration of the thrust vectoring control surfaces.  Thrust Vectoring Control Surfaces, aka 'vents', on the top, side & bottom of the assembly will vector thrust in the desired direction with fly-by-wire controls and provide directional control to the aircraft.

Ginormous Low-Risk Commercial Opportunity

The Magnecopter technology promises to be the next big industrial opportunity and your firm can get involved RIGHT NOW via Magnecopter’s non-exclusive technology licensing program.  Magnecopter's magnetically driven helicopter can be built by firms not currently producing conventional helicopters and tiltrotors.

Fill out the Contact Form below! Initial response is overwhelming! Worldwide, numerous companies are expected to pursue evaluation and development! The enormous size of the commercial market promises opportunities for a large number and wide variety of firms!

Major manufacturers such as Turkish Aviation, Hindustan, Honda, BAE, Hyundai, Mitsubishi Heavy Ind., Toyota, SAAB, Bombardier, Kawasaki Heavy Ind., Siemens and many, many others are expected to evaluate, if not develop and commercialize the technology.

The power will be provided using commercial APUs like those currently built by Honeywell and Pratt & Whitney.

There are also huge development opportunities for electronic manufacturers.  The Magnecopter requires large quantities of complex electronics, programming and controls. This is why the variety of firms involved in development will likely include major electronics firms like Foxconn, Samsung and others.

EXCELLENT CONCEPT CONCEIVED BY  MR. WAYNE AVELLANET !!!!!!  SIMPLY HAT’S OFF!!!
